Atrus Info

My name is Atrus. If you recognize the name, it might be because you have played or read the Myst series. The Book of Atrus is book one of the Myst Fantasy-Adventure series written by Robyn and Rand Miller. I recommend it even if you haven’t experienced any of the Myst games. If you are a fan, then look out for a crowd-funded game called Obduction, slated to come out in Fall of 2015.

But enough about my name. What about me? I am an incredibly normal guy who has an abnormal passion for gaming and technology. When I was in school, I studied to become a environmental scientist. Once I received my degree, I practically abandoned my field and found a good job in Technology. In retrospect, it all made perfect sense; I did twice as much gaming than studying, had way more skills in Skyrim than in my own field, and have spent way more time indoors than any self-respecting environmental scientist would care to admit.

I come from a very diverse gaming background. A “taste” of my favorite games include Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Pokemon, Resident Evil 4,  and more recently, Borderlands.  The list goes on and on, but if you want to hear more of what I love to play (and yes I still play all of the aforementioned titles), feel free to ask me any time. The platforms that get most of my attention are PC and Wii U.

I live in the PNW with my partner and our two cats. She and I love trash-talking each other while playing Mario Kart 8, taking turns causing tons of mayhem in GTA V, and wasting endless hours on the internet.
